I'm leaving to the Orlando for attending to the Star Wars Celebration6 .

It is first time for the 14  years to go to America.

We will be very busy for 4days!

We have a booth !! We'll  Introduce  our activity of Japan.

I have already over 50 characters.

This trip means really much to me...I'm going with my friends so

Flood

last Thuesday, we had very heavy rain...
thunder......

then flood!

The flood was settled in two hours but it was tough.

Our  refrigerator and electronic oven still went broke.

I'm leaving to Orlando for Celebration6 in early next week...but
I have a complicated feelings now.

I still have to do a lot for after flood.
I have to finish it and move on to the preparetion for the trip!

I'm going to attend the "Star Wars celebration 6" in orlando next week.
Right now I'm very busy for my restaurant and I can't prepare anything but getting excited!!

In fact,We'll  introduce about how  we enjoy the star wars  in Japan, at our booth in C6.

Also, I'll demonstrate the how to create Star Wars vegetable carving.
Combine The best and most advanced  science fiction movie "Star Wars" with
cultural old Japanese edible handwork.

special sushi cake with veggie carving!

I've made a special plate for the TV program called "restaurant of magic"
The theme was "Keihan railways".
It was a plan to express a train and the scenery along the line with sushi and vegetable carving!!!

As you can see the pic...I made a many things with sushi and vegetable carving.

We made our sushi course too.

one more thing..... I made the sculpture of the actress
 in the narrators of the TV program.

Maybe...... I'm the first person who make the vegetable carving of the person in the world :)

made a lot of things for TV program

My work will be on TV program called "Restaurant of the magic(魔法のレストラン)"!
It will start on 18th(on wednesday)in this month 19:00 in Kansai area on Channel 4.

I have made 3 of  vegetable carving of humans, carving of mini cars,
sushi of Train, sushi of ferris wheel,carving of Osaka castle,
many carving of flowers, animals  so on...a lot!

our appearance time will be short but please enjoy if you have a chance to watch it.:)
I will update more photo after a TV program broadcasted.

True Colors

Today's theme is a great song of Cyndi Lauper...
It is not..It is about Color of Sushi!

Here are the sushi for delivery to your home.
Nigiri for 1 person. We bake the egg by ourself.

Red, pink,white,green,yellow,(kind of gold) and .black...
Those are look like a palette of nature!!

....The size of the fish doubles!

Banana Star Wars!

I was watching TV the other day..
There was a  japanese who called "Banana art craftman".
He was making a great Art with Bananas. it was so amazing!
I was stimulated by him.... That is why made those Bananas.
My theme is......... of course Star Wars!

Therefore this is not my original idea but I hope you enjoy...

By the way, The character whom I like most is Obi=wan kenobi.
and, as fot the Battle of Obi=wan vs Grievous...
that scene is one of my best favorite.
(especially ,the scene where he jump into middle of  Droid army)


General Grieveous  ended up his life when he against obi=wan but
you can also enjoy his "move" on Clone Wars.


Anyway..he said like this in the movie..

Speaking about Star Wars...

I'm going to the Star Wars Celebration6  (in orlando August 23-26)

with my friends.

I'll be stayed in our Fan booth and making a vegetable carving !

Our booth name is  "Star Wars Japanese Vegetable Carving and Japanese Jedi Order".

If you are going to be there, please drop by our booth.

As for being absent from my restaurant  for a long time, I'm really sorry for a customers...

but this is going to be a great honor and big challenge for me!

I Can't wait to meet my friends there and Star Wars fan from the world !

How to make Cucumber Art (VIDEO)

Actually,The cucumber is famous as vegetables with
 a little nourishment.

But in this way, I believe the cucumber 
will become the nourishment of the heart.

Ronto and Jawa

I started this blog in 2006.
The reason why I began blog was that I wanted to practiced English.

I have made a Ronto and Jawa with vegetable this time.

Here is Jawa made by carrot.
I made it very small because I wanted to make the
Ronto and Jawa as a same size from the movie.

 This small peace is for eye. The ingredients is Kyo-potato.

Here is a making of A neck and head.

 I connected the body and foot.

Completed!

How to make a sweet pokemon

This  week of a day, a family group visited  my restaurant.
I heard that it was a birthday party for their 2 children,
therefore I made the veggie carving for their surprise present.
The characters' are not for sell of course!

I used a Sweet Potato.
to start...I made a face and the body.

The body almost finished.

I makes two ears and those are slim.
I rolled up "Nori" to put on a color to them

The Character is pikacyu! It was 3rd time to make it for me.

I serve with desert. The kids are looks very happy.

Jedi Order Japan

Some of you already know  that I'm a Star Wars fan.
Today I would like to introduce my friends..
There is a Japanese Star Wars Fan circle called Jedi Order Japan
and I'm a member of the circle.

The concept of Jedi Order Japan is "Let's enjoy the Star Wars!!"
It is a group who enjoy sharing our love for Star Wars with our family and friends.
Sometimes we do costume-play and carry out performances which
appeal to many people who enjoy Star Wars, as well as those
who do not know much about SW but might be interested to learn more.
Here is our PV.


We've been  performed at many places like...movie theater, Street event,
Parade, and Star Wars Celebration Japan(2008).
We'll atend Kobe festival 2012 Parade in May 20th (sun).
Here is a video of our parade in 2010. kobe matsuri parade in Jedi Order Japan
It is one of a biggest Parade in Japan.

Veggie carving of Sea bream 鯛の 野菜彫刻

Today's topic is Sea Bream.
I go to buy fish by myself in every morning.
今日のトピックは「鯛」です。
私は毎朝自分で買出し（仕入れ）に出かけています。


I love this fish.....it can become sashimi, sushi, saute ,carpaccio, so on....
I' prefer  to choose the a wild fish, not a farmed fish
because I like the aroma and  the meet and fat with the sweetness.

私は鯛が好きです。　さしみ、お寿司、ソテー、カルパッチョなど
ジャンルに問わず色々おいしい料理が出来ますからね。
できるだけ天然ものにこだわっています。

それは、天然ものは食したときの香り、そして上品な脂みと甘みが
好きだからです。特にお刺身にしたときに特徴が現れると思います。
（これでないとだめ！ということは基本無いと思っていますので
養殖のものも場合により使わせて頂いております）
                                   


I updated  the Sea Bream of carrot before, therefore
I introduce a procedure to make a sea bream with a sweet potato this time.
At first it is easy to do it when I make a line with a knife like below.
(I put a line by ipad to look more easily.

以前にも鯛のベジタブルカービングは、人参で作ったものを
アップしましたので、今回はさつまいも版です。
まず最初に、彫る前にナイフで細い線をつけると、やりやすいです。

Then I continue carving it a little by little.

そして、少しづつ彫り進めます。

 Can　You see the tail is wagging?

こちらが上から見た画像。尾を振っている様子を
出したかったのですが、わかりますか？

At last , carve the scale and eyes. And it is done.

最後にうろこと目を彫り、完成です。

Here comes with Otsukuri.

In Japanese, Sea Bream called "TAI"

Therefore This story was Tai Carving...not "Thai"carving...

this is kind of Japanese Joke... LOL!
